No, "this" didn't happen because you told me the truth. It just made things awkward. Honestly, it wouldn't be hard to fix "this". All that's happened is we don't text each other constantly anymore. That's all that "this" is. Have you noticed how we actually talk now? At least, more than we used to. A lot more. So okay, I guess I'll try and start texting you more, if you'd like.
